As the official start to fall has come and gone and we are finally starting to see some cooler temps heading our way, we thought it would be a great time to highlight some of our personal favorite fall pieces that just arrived at the shop!
These are staple items you can wear now on their own and then we'll give you some ideas for how to wear them throughout the winter season just by layering on a few extra pieces...
Look One

Olive is such a strong color for this fall, and we just love the hue on these Citizen of Humanity five pockets. Pairing these with this great super soft lightweight Billy Reid striped henley is a perfect casual look for early fall. The suede loafers and belt bring just a slight pop of color to offset the darker hue of the five pockets. As the temps drop later in the season, layer on a great quarter zip sweater like this one from Borgo 28. For those extra cold days, we love this merino wool hat from Johnston of Elgin featuring an olive trim that we think really ties the look together.

We are really digging this Borgo 28 sport shirt and J Brand French Terry five pockets (the softest pant ever by the way). One way to jump start the season is to invest in great base colors like the grey and blue hues shown here. And then when layering later in the season, think about adding in a pop of color like this camel scarf. Another layering piece we love for this season is this Billy Reid gray cardigan. It’s a versatile piece that we think you will consistently pull out of the closet no matter the dress code.

This Roosevelt & Co. shirt is one of our absolute favorites this season. The rich deep navy coupled with the subtle brown windowpane makes it the perfect “hybrid” shirt (wear it with jeans or dress trousers). We love it paired with these beautiful tan mouline wool Ballin trousers. These two pieces go with so many of our fall sport coats, but we are really loving it paired here with this great muted plaid Hickey Freeman coat. Throw on a solid scarf and you are ready for the winter days ahead.

We can’t get enough of this Billy Reid plaid sport shirt. The weight is absolutely perfect for this time of year. Paired with a super soft pair of J Brand denim and these killer dark brown Trask steer boots, you can’t go wrong with this look to kick off the season. Later on, layer the look with a lightweight navy knit like this one from Borgo 28 and our favorite outerwear piece from Tom Beckbe.
